Aviva Award

"OMG! We only went and won it! How is it possible that a group of mums from Shiremoor create a community group that goes on to become a multi regional charity, and win a National award for our work to alleviate poverty in the North East?! Because we have the best team, the best volunteers and the most tenacious, resilient amazing communities supporting us! Emma and I both blubbed like babies. We are both bursting with pride. We can't wait to take the award back to our centre and get everyone in a photo with it! And the cash will go straight into our Community kitchen to help feed the families who need it most.
