English classes update

Safe Homes for Ukraine at the Coast: Whitley Bay, Cullercoats and Tynemouth  Support and Grow NE -Looking after each other across our communities   have starting the first of our basic and intermediate conversational English classes, we have had to do this due to the huge demand , and formal courses  from other groups/ council being filled so quickly.

We CANNOT provide creche, pre school or kindergarten facilities. If there is an issue regarding this, again message privately please.

We are trying to make these accessible for all as best we can by foot or metro. We cannot fund transport costs, but if you are genuinely struggling please message one of us privately.

This is all being done by volunteers including war refugees themselves and we are using precious funds for refreshments and materials (especially dictionaries).  We have done shout outs to main stationery suppliers with no reply…can anyone help us here, does anyone have contacts???

If anyone can help donate towards these classes (as we have 3 more to prepare and fund), and make this sustainable for those who need it, if you can afford to do so, please consider us

£1 can help go towards refreshments, books, l

Pens, dictionaries. We are also going to do art classes and other therapeutic activities.

Please use “Ukraine” in the comments section so we can ring fence for these projects only.

Thank you
